Next District Morning tea to be held on the 11th September 2010 at 10.30am to 11.30am.  This is on a Saturday as requested by people with last evaluation held.

Pat:  Do you always wear your clothes back to front?

Mary:  Yes Pat.

Pat:   Why do you do that Mary?

Mary: It’s my peculiarity. Everyone has some peculiarity Pat.

Pat:   I don’t.

Mary: Don’t you stir your coffee with your right hand Pat?

Pat:   Yes,Mary.

Mary: Well that is your peculiarity. Most people use a teaspoon.

Divide the Guides onto four sections.  There are different ways of doing this yell based on the experiance of the Guides. Firstly section one yells out the first line.  As they move onto the second line the second section yells out the first line.  On it goes.

Alternatively all the sections begin only yelling out their own line.  Start this way with section one and then section two while section one keeps up their Yelling.

Grand finally of this Yell is the fifth line.

Oh my god but the toilets, I remember those holes in the ground…… YUK!!!!!! and then when you started rationing out the toilet paper because we were gonna run out lol, oh its classic, I

still to this day use way to

o much toilet paper….. hehe my bad!

Mars Bars and Cream mix

Have hand a tray of cut fruit or simple plain biscuits.

In a pan over a low heat melt 2 large mars bars and approximately 150 mls to 200 mls of cream.  [The less cream the thicker the mix is the next morning  should there be any mix left!!!!] Keep stirring over a low heat or the chocolate burns and the caramel goes weird and tastes funny.  The last part of the mars bar to melt is the nugart.  This is the really mice piece so it should be shared evenly…. and made to melt down, being stirred into the cream base, too.

Take of heat and begin dipping the fruit or biscuits in the mix.  NOTE:             No double dipping or all the mix is thrown out.

Rac Wac 2008

Late 2007 saw the guides plan there own Rac Wac [Race around Churchill/ Wheel and Churchill.]   They planned the route together.  One Guide stated she would like to organise some of the other Guides to help her over the end of Year brake from school.

Early the next year the menu was finaised as the guides wanted a BBQ at the end of the Rac Wac.  Parents were organised to follow everyone around the desired route.  Which was altered for some reaason known to the Guides themselves.

Half way round one Patrol was sat down and they had to explain to the Leaders and the Gipps Guide, what an asthma management plan was, what they should do to lessen the chance of an attach brought on by a sudden wind change in the early evening and when they would have to be responsible to phone an ambulance.  What the number of the Emergency services was and what to tell then.  With this breather done they procceded to walk to the BBQ a[and toilet] area.
