Hazelwood and Churchill (Victoria, Australia) local Girl Guide information noticeboard.

WOW.  Another State Sleepover.  The last time I went on one of these there were nearly 2000 youth members in and around the Melbourne Museum.  It was fantastic.  Not very many people actually slept the whole night through.  There was so much to see and do.  Yeah I was face painting until five in the morning.  Took an hour off to sleep.  Until some ungrateful person pulled her dilly bag out from under my head.  The pudding bowl made a great pillow.  Suppose I can understand why she wanted to have it back for breakfast to be eaten from it!  I just realized this was 6 years ago.

Guides Victoria have sent out a letter to our District Team members.  In it there is mention of a State Sleep Over during August or September 2010.

The Baw Baw Region Guides are also having their 10th Sleep Over at Lardner Park.  I hope they are not going to clash. Either way the Guides will be asked if which they would prefer to go on if that is the case.

There are things that they will need to have with them.

A sleeping bag would help. A sleeping mat too.  Not big and bulky as there will be walking to do.  The Guide brings ‘it’ then they carry it in.

Warm clothing, coat, beanie, sunscreen.  Nightwear…an extra pair of socks, and a spare long fitting T-shirt for under the pyjamas is necessary.
