Learning Whistle signals

Learn / practise whistle signals. Patrols choose their own special signal. Leader uses scatter signal to send patrols searching for tokens hidden round playing area. If one is found, finder stands still until PL notices, signals patrol to assemble before patrol collects token. Whenever leader signals “rally”, first patrol back earns extra token; last patrol forfeits one. Vary with “PL come here”; deduct a token from patrols of any girls who mistake that signal for “rally”.

patrol Activity through the Rac Wac’s.

Sometimes when the Rac Wac has been planned the idea was that:

Each patrol was to follow a different route to an appropriate destination ( accompanied by an adult with first aid kit and a car).  The year that we were to try this out everything was cancelled, delayed or rearranged due to the Fires that were / had been ranging around Churchill for nearly a month.

C.F.A Come on down to Guides.

When planning 2009 Tuesday program the girls decided to invite the CFA people to Guides. Little knowing that every one here would be so affected by the near by fires over the last two weeks.

Here are some of the pictures of the CFA ladies who came to our Girl Guide meeting today. And we did not scare them off…. so they are coming back too.

Sun, March 1, 2009 email to DSE

Tarnia Thankyou. Now I have a step by step written working plan that I can clearly follow. I can also place this plan of action in the Management log book as well as in the District Guiding correspondance in. In your last email 2nd paragrah third line "...you need to DES then consider..." is there something missing? I'll ask Debbie where the written down property boundary details that you have provided are stored. Thankyou for sending these to here as previously requested. As of last week (Wednesday) the leak next to the Hazelwood South Community Hall is still leaking. Not sure if Debbie has contacted any one again about this leak but I am bringing it to your attention again. Thought that the fire emergency plan may have involved plumbers, therefore they may have had more important things to deal with. Thanks once again. Susan Connor District Leader Hazelwood and Churchill Girl Guide Leader.
