Hazelwood and Churchill Girl Guide
 District Report 1st Quarter 2010
In order to submit a Region Report to the state team by the required date please submit this report at end of each term .
It should be emailed to jane.cleverly@bigpond.com
Your report may be edited to comply with space restrictions, however, please feel free to include as much detail as you want.
Please report on the following areas for your District over the past three months
1.         Promotional Events Held / Links with the local community
Getting out and about with the Guides. AMulticultural festival Mowell and Churchill library.
Have opened a District Face book page to keep in touch with some parents…those with internet access.  Early indications seem to be working.
Spoke at the Churchill And District Community Association re the Hazelwood Honor Roll and its condidtion (very Good condition) and put minds at ease re the care that the Hazelwood And Churchill Guides are giving this board.  There had been an untrue report of damage to this board. The RSL are satisfied with the Board staying in the Hazelwood South Hall… not going to the Churchill Public hall.
Asked to attend the Churchill Festival APRIL 17TH THIS YEAR. Altered date from March 2010.
Have been asked for the Guides to conduct a survey of the local children … what do they want from the local ‘Walker’ street park by the local walker street park group.
2.         Property Issues
3.         Leader Qualifications
4.         New initiatives / successes in your District
Patrol activities seem to be revitilizing the Unit.
5.         Issues you would like taken to the notice of Girl Guides Victoria management
Samar Ishaq has moved to Melbourne. Samar is having trouble contacting the / receiving a reply from the people in Melbourne. When I go down next I will make appropriate enquires as to what is happening but would like to receive some help first.  Not known by me yet who she is trying to contact but apparently every time Samar phones the lady at home the husband only answers.  Messages are not getting through and direct contact is not being got.
6.         Issues you would like to discuss at the Region Meeting
What is happening to the Uniforms.  We have not pushed the getting of one as we were believing that there would be the new ones 2010.  So currently our Guides do not have them. What do we do for ANZAC day?
7.         Professional Development you feel you would like
