HERE WE GO ROUND THE WORLD CENTRES

(Tune: Here we go round the mulberry bush)

Here we go around the World

Here we go around the World

Here we go around the World

To visit Our Chalet.

At Our Chalet we meet the Swiss;

On mountain heights we climb like this,

We might see a goat, or an Edelweiss,

All at Our Chalet.

Here we go around the World

Here we go around the World

Here we go around the World

To visit Olave House.

From Olave House we see the sights,

Of London Town and city lights;

We meet the English on rainy nights,

While we’re cosy in Olave House.

Here we go around the World

Here we go around the World

Here we go around the World

To visit our cabana.

Our Cabana’s in Mexico,

And off to a bullfight we all go;

Arts and crafts to children we show,

When staying at our cabana.

Here we go around the World Here we go around the World

Here we go around the World

And now we go to Sangam.

India’s Sangam is far away,

but we’ll see the life of old Bombay;

We’ll dance and sing all through the day,

When we go to Sangam.

These are the centres for a Girl Scout or Guide;

We think of them with joy and pride

For we have traveled far and wide,

All around the world.

Invitation to evening taps

Come all, Sing good night,

as the shadows lengthen into evening light

In the living glowing embers

There is friendship to remember,

let us sing a last good night,

Goodnight

ROCK MY SOUL

Rock my soul on the bosom of Abraham.

Rock my soul on the bosom of Abrahram

Rock my seal on the bosom of Abrahram

0 rock-a my soul.

Too high, you can’t get over it.

Too low, you can’t get under it,

Too wide, you can’t get round it,

Gotta go throuqh the gates to Heaven.

Swing Low, Sweet Chariot

Swing low, sweet chariot,

Coming for to carry me home.

Swing low, sweet chariot,

Coming for to carry me home.

I looked over Jordan and what did I see,

Coming for to carry me home.

A band of angels coming after me,

Coming for to carry me home.

Service projects

Guiding equips and supports many to take on various service projects.  These may be influenced through great world wide projects or just a small humble project like doing your bit.

The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts works closely with other World Wide Organisations.  WAGGGS also has triannialy themes that each Guiding country is part of.   Currently the Challenge the World theme.  Asking of others to give back to their communities is a major task for any organisation.  Made easier if whom they have asked knows the culture, aims and traditions of the one asking I must admit.

Changing the World Project

Being a Guide challenges you to reach out beyond what you think you are capable of.

Want to be a singer like  the english young lady  Pixie Lott?
