Jump Rope for Heart Sub-Committee

In the second half of  2009 one of the Gipps guide suggetions was to hold a Jump Rope for heart fundraiser.  Kira offered to organise and run this service to the community. A sub-committee is being formed for the Jump Rope for Heart day. .  Since the sun-committee is being coordinated through the Gipp’s Guides the member will submit reports through the Gipps Guide meeting’s.  These reports will then be forwarded to the Region Leader.

The reports will cover the following:

  • The formation of the sub-committee.  Note does not have to be made up from Guide personal only.  But, with any interaction between the Guides and adults the working with children and the Guide Police Check needs to current and seen by the District Leader or the Unit Leaders.
  • Venue, date and time for the Jump Rope to occur.
  • Refreshments on hand.[recipes and ingredients displayed]
  • Promotional aspects [Invitations and advertising]
  • Management paper work required. [ S.W.O.T. analysis, Risk analysis]
  • How all the levels within Guides are to be involved.
  • Occupational Health and Safety review.
  • Job allocations of the sub-committee to be written and understood by the sub-committee members
  • Costs involved
  • Equipment and information needed.
  • Progressive updates forwarded.

As many adults may not be aware Guides is very protective of the Youth Members.  So please note: what, as kids we thought we could just go out and do is possibly not the case these days.  Duty of care is paramount within Guiding.
